Finalists will be announced January 29, 2010, and the Grand Prize Winner will be decided by 50% vote of the judges and 50% of the audience participation from Twitter. The games will be available to play for free on /macworld. Games will be judged on overall fun, quality and creativity. The official rules and prizes are as follows: The top 5 finalists will be featured at the event, and a winner will be announced on February 10. The five day festival of all things Mac will be held from February 9 – 13 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Macworld 2010 itself is part of the IDG World Expo family of trade shows, which includes E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo). Two games created using the GameSalad tools, Z is for Zombie & V is for Vortex, were recently featured by Apple in the New & Noteworthy and What We're Playing sections of the App Store. Gendai Games are the makers of the GameSalad tools, which they claim is "the world's most advanced game development tool for non-programmers." is aimed at providing these high-level tools for the creation and distribution of games, and has various community features for user support and collaboration. Anyone can enter the Macworld 2010 GameSalad Challenge, with the only stipulation being that the game must be created using GameSalad Creator for Mac. Gendai Games and Macworld 2010 have teamed-up to host a game development competition from Decemthrough January 25, 2010.
